About Me
Hello, my name is Carlos León although I usually sign as Carlos Letman.
I’m a self-taught photographer and I have been doing this work for over 25 years. Although throughout my career, I have been working in different types of genres, in the last 9 years, I have focused mainly on artistic photography.
Immersing myself in different styles of photography is something that I love to do, it gives me knowledge and flexibility of thought. In the same way, I love walking through the city looking for graffiti, scribbles, textures, and everything that activates my imagination to create meaningful and attractive compositions.
Primarily, the subjects of physics, philosophy, and science are for me magnificent generators of creative energy. In the same way, nature, architecture and classical art are also sources of profound inspiration.
It goes without saying that visiting art galleries and museums is a fantastic pleasure, however, I usually find more creativity and more art in the streets than in most of those acclaimed art galleries.
In short, I love “Creativity” and as Einstein said: “Imagination is more important than knowledge”. Therefore, who am I to disagree? 🙂
